Hi, I'm Garrick, a US Air Force Veteran, Firefighter, and owner of Fishing Buddy Expeditions.

I've been fishing all my life, growing up on Red Lake in Northern Minnesota, known for its prime Walleye fishing. As a kid, picking up a rod and reel was inevitable.

Moving to Alaska 14 years ago, I immediately took to the water. Salmon fishing became more than just a hobby. Guiding was a natural progression; I couldn't resist sharing my love for fishing and getting friends and family on the water with me.

I still remember the thrill of catching my first fish, and there's nothing quite like witnessing someone land their first catch. Seeing their excitement when they feel that tug on the line is priceless.

 

I thrive outdoors, whether navigating river currents or simply taking in Alaska's stunning landscapes—every day spent on the water is a good day. While catching fish is always a bonus, my true passion in guiding is getting people out on the water.
